Dear Accountability Coach, I am preparing for the new year, how can I make it a better year for me and my family? A: I will answer by asking what are your expectations for yourself and family for the New Year? What are you looking to accomplish? What is your single goal/vision/pictureyou desire in the next 3-6 months? How will you get there to fulfill this goal? When you respond to these questions with intentional thought and focus, this will define to you what is priority and how you should map out what needs to happen. It will give you a vision to where you are going and with purpose and persistence raise your level of expectation and propel you forward to accomplish the task. Everything starts with a decision and you need to make quality decisions for 2009. Reflect on what has worked and what has not and make an effort to add something new to your life. (New vacation spot, new genre of books, writing, journaling, family time, personal time, golf, spa etc). Gain new knowledge and upgrade every aspect of your life. Without a doubt you will need to establish new boundaries if you saw that something negatively impacted or influenced your decision-making in the past plus you will need to be more disciplined if there were habits you knew were harmful or destructive to your well-being or that of your family. Protect your new decisions, separate from anything that does not add value to you or impedes your progress. This is going to be a marvelous year and YOU are the one who can make it happen. So get busy and prepare for it now! Pam, The Accountability Coach ©. copyright 2008, Advanced Consulting & Marketing Services. All rights reserved |
